Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery positive electrode material with improved high temperature preservation characteristics. SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery positive electrode activate material is composed of lithium-transition metal complex oxide expressed by general formula (1): LipNiqMnrQ1-q-rXtO2, with an elution amount of Mn at an elution test of 0.75 μmol/g or less. In the formula, Q denotes at least one kind of element chosen from alkali metal, alkali earth metal, transition metal, aluminum, chalcogen elements, halogen elements, X denotes at least one kind of element chosen from Ga, Bi, B, Sn, Ge, Pb, P and Sb, and 0<p≤1.2, 0.7≤q/r≤9, 0≤(1-q-r)≤0.5, 0≤t≤0.2.
