Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning mechanism capable of maintaining good cleaning property over a long period of time in an image forming apparatus mainly adopting a full color tandem method for high speed and high quality in an electrophotographic method and an electrostatic recording method and in the full color tandem method image forming method. SOLUTION: A plurality of cleaning rolls 151 and 152 installed side by side in the rotating direction are installed to be freely rotated, in a state of contact or in proximity to the surface of an electrostatic latent image carrier 11, on the downstream side of the rotating direction of the electrostatic latent image carrier 11 than a transfer position. Magnetic particle layers 1501a consisting of magnetic particles are provided on surfaces of the rolls. By having the rolls rotated, non magnetic toner existing on the surface of the electrostatic latent image carrier 11 is attached to the magnetic particle layer 1501a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
