Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater having further improved safety by using a safety operation mode including a child lock function. SOLUTION: In the safety operation mode, a second maximum set temperature is set which is lower than a first maximum set temperature settable in a normal operation mode. Even when a child stays near a heater body continuously for a long time, no temperature rise occurs nearly to the first maximum set temperature, thus eliminating the possibility of giving a low-temperature burn to the child. Strong, medium and weak combustion and heating output are changeable. In the safety operation mode, the heating output of strong and medium combustion is cut and the heating output of weak combustion is only used for operation, thereby suppressing the temperature rise and further improving safety.
