Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform measurement without remeasurement corresponding to a case when there are read errors in reagent lot information when giving element information containing reagent lot information to a dry analysis element. SOLUTION: An automatic analyzer has a reader 33 for reading element information given to the dry analysis element 12. The element information given to the dry analysis element 12 includes reagent type information for prescribing measurement items and reagent lot information for correcting a reagent lot difference. In the reading of the element information by the reader 33, the reagent type information can be read. When an error occurs in the reading of the reagent lot information, the automatic analyzer executes a measurement arithmetic processing, based on analysis information corresponding to a reagent lot acquired previously, and has an error processing function for adding caution marks for urging cautions to the analysis result. For a reagent type essentially without any reagent lot difference, an analysis result without depending on the read reagent lot information is calculated by setting for ignoring the reagent lot.
