Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction gear for a small motor composed of plastic gears with double end supported structure of bearings having a plurality of engagement positions to compensate defects in a conventional gear structure allowing only one position of simultaneous gear engagement, while taking advantages of a planetary gear mechanism allowing a plurality of positions of simultaneous gear engagement, with an output shaft positioned at a center of the reduction gear. SOLUTION: In this reduction gear, a plurality of follower gears are disposed around a drive gear, so that a plurality of gear engagement positions can be set for one stage of reduction. Bearings to support the output shaft are disposed on a front case and a rear case to compose the double end support structure. A rear part of the output shaft is used as a gear shaft, and intermediate gears are rotatably supported. In addition, a plurality of gears are disposed on a plurality of gear shafts disposed in parallel to the output shaft.
