Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the processing of a whole system even when it is impossible to acquire the latest color characteristic information necessary for image processing. SOLUTION: This image processor 42 performs correction to make image data suitable for the color characteristics of a printer. Target profile data(TP data) showing the characteristics of the printer are required for the color correction. When it is impossible to acquire any latest TP data from a print control system or the like although color correction processing is requested from a PC 48, the image processor 42 performs color correction processing based on the TP data used for the color correction. Only when it is possible to acquire the latest TP data, the image processor 42 verifies the validity of the already performed color correction processing, and shows the result to a user.
