Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To structure contents by utilizing the speech information in the contents, and more particularly to automatically enable exact and efficient detection of highlight scenes of sporting relay broadcasting. SOLUTION: The highlight scene detecting system includes a speech recognition means for extracting a word by refering to a previously formed acoustic model and language model and performing speech recognition of the input speech and a highlight scene detecting means for retrieving the word coincident with the keyword characterizing the highlight scene among the extracted words and detecting the scene where such word that has the speech power exceeding the previously regulated threshold among the words coinciding with the keyword exists as the highlight scene.
