Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate mesh pitch adjustment work of a chain with a sprocket and to eliminate overload of the chain caused by tensile force. SOLUTION: The upper end of the chain C is fixed to a connecting member 2 of rectangular cross section having a screw part 2b, and the screw part 2b of the connecting member 2 is inserted in a mounting hole 1h of a mounting plate 1 of U-shaped cross section fixed to the upper end of a groove 14 of a guide rail 11, to penetrate into the U-shape of the mounting plate 1. A double nut 3 is mounted to the screw part 2b. A compression spring 4 is insert-fitted between the double nut 3 and one opposed face of the U-shape of the mounting plate 1. In this manner, the chain C is disposed in the lengthwise direction through the compression spring 4 and thereby has the degree of freedom in the lengthwise direction, and the sprocket S is automatically meshed with the chain C having the degree of freedom in the lengthwise direction. Tension adjusting operation like a tension system is thereby dispensed with, and no tensile force is applied. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
