Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire making appearance properties (cut resistance) well compatible with heat buildup performances at the end of use, especially suitable as a tire for heavy load. SOLUTION: A rubber composition prepared by formulating (A) at least one kind selected from natural rubber and diene synthetic rubber with (B) a syndiotactic-1,2-polybutadiene having 120-180°C melting point in an amount of 3-20pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. of the rubber component, (C) silica having 180-270m2/g nitrogen adsorption specific surface area and (D) a hydrazide compound represented by general formula (I) in an amount of 0.1-5.0pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. of the rubber component is used in a base member.
