Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication device which can maintain high performance even when an environmental change such as a change of mechanical conditions of vibration etc. occurs by performing highly accurate positioning processing relating to light from LD at all times. SOLUTION: The optical communication device is provided with a light source, an optical fiber, a condenser lens, a moving means, a light receiving means and a control means. Therein, the optical fiber is composed of a core and a clad, has an incident end surface which is constituted so that the light reflected on the incident end surface has an optical intensity distribution in accordance with a reflection position, and transmits the light that is made incident to the core. The condenser lens is disposed between the light source and the optical fiber on an optical path and condenses the light so that the light forms a spot on the incident end surface. The moving means moves the spot on the incident end surface. The light receiving means has a light receiving surface that receives the reflected light and outputs a signal corresponding to the optical intensity distribution of the reflected light. The control means drives and controls the moving means so that the signal almost coincides with the signal corresponding to the standard distribution. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
