Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for efficiently oscillating an object to be oscillated such as a product to be processed while generation of vibration, dust, etc., is suppressed, and to enable polishing and other surface processing to be applied on the product through the oscillation. SOLUTION: The oscillating device 2 is equipped with a prime mover 36, rotary shafts 40a, 40b connected to the prime mover 36, at least two cranks 38, 39 installed on the rotary shafts 40a, 40b, two or more oscillating plates which are connected to each crank 38, 39 through rods 41a, 41b and which are dividedly arranged roughly symmetrically, and two or more slide guiding mechanisms (linear bearings 43a, 43b) which are mounted on the oscillating plates so as to linearly move the plates. The two or more dividedly arranged oscillating plates make two confronting reciprocating movements along the slide guiding mechanisms (linear bearings 43a, 43b), thereby simultaneously oscillating two or more objects fixed on the oscillating plates in opposing directions.
