Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and facilitate assembling/disassembling work by simplifying and reducing the weight of dead load and movable load of a scaffold (a tower) of a vertical pipe. SOLUTION: This scaffold apparatus for work is installed in a vadose water piping formed of a horizontal pipe p1and a vertical pipe p3connected thereto through a bent pipe p2. This apparatus includes: a horizontal part beam 4 disposed in the horizontal pipe p1and also serving as a work floor and a rail 12 slidable toward the bent pipe p2; and a plate-like hanging stage 5 elevated in the vertical pipe p3by a winch 7. The top of the inner wall of the bent pipe is provided with a sheave mounting piece 2 for mounting a sheave 2a supporting and guiding the middle part of a wire 6 delivered from the winch 7 provided in the rear of the horizontal part beam 4, and the hanging stage 5 is hung by the wire 6 stretched through the sheave 2a mounted on the sheave mounting piece 2.
