Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide display liquid for an electrophoresis display device utilizing particulates hardly flocculated and having high electrophoretic speed. SOLUTION: In the display liquid for the electrophoresis display device constituted by including at least one kind of electrifying particulates and an electrical insulating solvent, the electrifying particulates are constituted by including resin, a colorant and an electrifying agent, and the electrifying agent is a calixarene compound. As for the display liquid therefor, the electrifying particulates are aspherical particulates, that is, the ratio of the shortest particle diameter to the longest particle diameter of the electrifying particulates is 1:1.1 to 1:50, and the average particle diameter of the electrifying particulates is 0.01 to 50μm.
