Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric component receptacle that can position the electric component stably and precisely by small number of positioning protrusions and is easy to manufacture. SOLUTION: This is an electric component receptacle 1 which comprises a housing surface part 8 for housing an electric component 2 in which a plurality of spherical terminals 3 are formed with a prescribed pitch, and in the housing surface 8 of which a plurality of through holes 9 corresponding to the plurality of spherical terminals 3 are formed in matrix form, and a plurality of contact pins 7 that can contact from the bottom the lower part of the spherical terminal 3 through the through hole 9 are arranged. Since a plurality of positioning protrusions 15 that can be inserted between the plurality of spherical terminals 3 and positions the spherical terminals 3 are provided in the nearly center portion in the range surrounded by four mutually adjoining through holes on the housing surface 8, when the electric component 2 is housed in the housing surface 8, the positioning protrusion 15 is inserted between the four spherical terminals 3 of the electric component 2 and, thereby, can position it precisely.
