Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-bearing reel having reduced total size by improving a click mechanism. SOLUTION: The claim 1 of the patent application comprises a double-bearing reel having plural protrusions and recesses on the same circle at one surface of a spool and a click member forced with a spring and slidably inserted in the side plate of the reel body at the side having the protrusions and recesses provided that an operation member to slide the click member is placed on the side plate on an axis separated from the axis of the click member, and the claim 2 comprises a double-bearing reel described in the claim 1 wherein the operation member is composed of an operation lever rotatably attached to the side plate of the reel body and a cylindrical cam having a notch on the circumferential wall, the click member has an engaging part engaging with the notch and the click member is forwarded and retracted interlocked with the rotational operation of the cam with the operation lever.
