Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricant composition for metal working use exhibiting high lubricity while preventing the scorching between a working tool and an object material at least similarly to the case using a chlorine-based extreme- pressure agent even under such severe working conditions as to tend to cause scorching without using any such an agent that may affect the environment or human health. SOLUTION: This lubricant composition for metal working use is obtained by incorporating a base oil with a combination of a sulfur-based extreme- pressure agent and/or phosphorus-based one, a perbasic alkaline earth metal salt and a boric ester.
