PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switch device or the like capable of lowering the cost of the switching of a signal light transmission line and accurately performing a switching at the desired time. SOLUTION: Before the time to perform the switching, a controller 60 is operated and the time to perform the switching is set in the respective optical switch devices 30 and 40. Information including the time indicating the switching time set in the controller 60 is transmitted through a network to communication parts 35 and 45 of the optical switch devices 30 and 40. In the optical switch devices 30 and 40, on the basis of the information including the time received by the communication parts 35 and 45, the time indicated by the information including the time is set to timers 33 and 43. When the set time comes, indication signals indicating that effect are outputted from the timers 33 and 43. The indication signals are inputted to drive parts 32 and 42, drive is performed by the drive parts 32 and 42 on the basis of the indication signals and switching of the signal light transmission line in optical switches 31 and 41 is performed.
