Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line and a method for continuous heat-treating a high- class galvanized strip subjected to hot rolling into high quality and at low cost. SOLUTION: The continuous galvanizing treatment equipment includes a pickling part for removing the scale of a hot-rolled strip, a rolling mill for reducing the sheet thickness of the strip from which the scale is removed, a furnace part for annealing the strip discharged from the rolling mill, and whose sheet thickness is reduced, and a plating part for subjecting the annealed strip to galvanizing. In this treatment equipment and the above method, the change of the sheet thickness along the longitudinal direction of the strip before annealing of the hot rolled sheet is minimized, and the annealing conditions of the hot rolled steel sheet are uniformized, thereby obtaining high productivity and high quality.
