Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wires in an automobile from being erroneously connected to a connector while types of colors of the wires are reduced. SOLUTION: Automotive wires have twelve - fourteen types of colors. An arrangement pattern of the wires for connecting the wires to a multicontact connector having ten or more contacts is set by this method according to the colors of the wires. The colors of the wires inserted into cavities, which are adjacent to each other horizontally in a same stage, vertically in a same row, and obliquely in different stages, are different. The connection positions of terminals, which have the wires with same colors and are inserted into the connector afterwards, are set in such a manner that three or more cavities are to be provided horizontally between the positions, two or more cavities are to be provided vertically between the positions, and one cavity is to be provided obliquely between the positions.
