Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cooling structure of a motor, which is a small size and has a superior cooling property and a hostile environment resistance. SOLUTION: The motor comprises a stator core 4, a load-side bracket 8 and a counter-load-side bracket 5 supporting both sides of the stator core 4, respectively, and a rotation detector arranged on the rear end of the counter- load-side bracket 5. Cooling Ventilating passages 3 are formed on the stator core 4, the load-side bracket 8, and the counter-load-side bracket 5, respectively, the cooling ventilating passages 3 circulating air for forced cooling, which is supplied to the load-side bracket 8, from the load-side bracket 8 to the counter-load side bracket 5 in the axial direction. A barrier 6 is arranged in the position opposite to the rotation detector 7 via a supports 6b so as to change the direction of the air for forced cooling discharged from the ventilating passages for cooling 3.
