Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor that can prevent outflow of lubricating oil when dynamic pressure is generated, with simple and low-cost structure. SOLUTION: The spindle motor comprises: a dynamic pressure radial bearing constituted of an outer peripheral portion of a shaft 2A and an inner peripheral portion of a sleeve 6A; and a dynamic pressure thrust bearing constituted of a thrust plate 7 stuck to an end portion of the sleeve 6A, and an end portion of the shaft 2A. A first tapered face 2Ad of a tapered angle θ1 is formed on an outer peripheral face 2Ac of the shaft 2A, and a second tapered face 6Ad of a tapered angle θ2 is formed on an inner peripheral face 6Aa of the sleeve 6A. The relation between the tapered angle θ1 and θ2 satisfies θ1>θ2.
