Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method of scheduling vehicle service for performing vehicle scheduling so that a vehicle can be arrived at a designated place and at a designated time of a customer based on a current position of the vehicle and on-road traffic congestion information. SOLUTION: Planned data from a user 1 is received by a planned data receiving means 21 and stored in a planned data DB 22, on-road traffic congestion information from an FM station 4 is received by a road congestion information receiving means 23 and stored in a traffic congestion information DB 24, vehicle position information from a vehicle 3 is received by a position information receiving means 25 and stored in a position information DB 26. A scheduling means 28 forms a service plan of the vehicle at the prescribed time of the planned data from the planned data DB 22 to the prescribed place based on traffic congestion information, vehicle position information, and map information from respective databases(DB) so that a driving distance becomes short, and distributes the service plan from a service plan distributing means 29 to the user 1 for confirmation.
