Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize operation by fixing an electric potential at a channel stop part, related to a solid-state image pickup element wherein a horizontal transfer register is provided on both sides of each vertical transfer register and transfer directions of signal charges are alternately inverted at every vertical transfer register. SOLUTION: Register separation regions 150A and 150B connected to a channel stop part 140 are provided between vertical transfer registers 110A and 110B and horizontal transfer registers 120A and 120B on both sides of them. A ground region 170 is provided outside an imaging part. The register separation regions 150A and 150B are electrically connected to the ground region 170 by an upper part wiring 180. Thus, each of channel stop parts 140 is connected to the ground region 170 through the register separation regions 150A and 150B and the upper part wiring 180, so that an electric potential of the channel stop part 140 is fixed by an electric potential of the ground region 170. |
