Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain rattling of a composite belt of a transmission. SOLUTION: A problem of rattling is solved by eliminating a change of a friction coefficient in a working state of the belt (carrier). Materially, a carrier contact surface of a crossing element and an inside contact surface of the carrier to contact this contact surface have composite roughness Ra' which is larger than 0.6 μm and favourably larger than 0.75 μm.
