Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for multiplexing and branching wavelengths, with which decrease in light quantity is prevented. SOLUTION: The device 10 for multiplexing and branching wavelengths multiplexes a plurality of light beams of different wavelengths or divides a multiplexed light beam into different light beams having respective wavelength is provided. The device 10 for multiplexing and branching is provided with a plurality of wavelength selective filters 27 to 29, which have reflection faces arranged with a space between them, each or which reflection faces reflects a light beam which has a different wavelength from each other and allow other light beams except the reflected light beam to pass through, a first lens 22 which diagonally guides the multiplexed light beam onto the reflection face of each wavelength selective filter, and a plurality of second lenses 23 to 26 each of which focuses a light beam having respective wavelength included in the multiplexed light beam with a cooperation with the first lens in order to condense the light beams having respective wavelength reflected on the reflection face of respective filters.
