Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle electrifying type contact electrifying device, by which the improvement of an electrifying performance and the elimination of the influence of particle fall-off are both coped with. SOLUTION: In an electrifying device 2, which is provided with electrifying particles (m) consisting mainly of conductive particles whose each grain size is 10 μm-10 nm and a surface having conductivity and elasticity and by which the surface of a body to be electrified 1 is electrified by bringing carried electrifying particles (m) into contact with the body to be electrified 1, by making an electrifying member 2A constituted of an electrifying particle carrier to carry the electrifying particles (m) abut on the body to be electrified 1, the resistance of the electrifying particles (m), carried on the electrifying particle carrier 2A, is 1012 to 10-1 Ω.cm, and the value obtained by dividing the carried amount of the electrifying particles (m) by the surface roughness Ra μm of the carrier of the electrifying particles is in the range of 0.005 to 1 mg/cm2/μm. |
