Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust dot formation positions between nozzle rows by a less than one dot accuracy in the case of printing, with nozzle rows for printing even-numbered rasters and nozzle rows for printing odd-numbered rasters arranged in the main scanning direction for moving the same in the main scanning direction. SOLUTION: This device comprises a band memory 204 for keeping printing data, a controlling part 203 for reading control of data from the band memory, and data latching parts 1001, 1002 each for temporarily keeping driving data corresponding to nozzle rows for recording odd-numbered and even numbered rasters, wherein a time lag corresponding to less than one pixel displacement can be provided in the timing for transferring the driving data to each nozzle row.
