Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widely develop the applications of a specific infrared-absorbing dye through applying it to various image printing media, particularly to provide various systems for image formation by making use of infrared energy; specifically, to provide an ink-jet printing technique improved in ink dryability and image durability through intake of the infrared-absorbing dye, to provide a laser thermal transfer material increased in sensitivity and markedly reduced in production cost, and to provide a printing plate material improved in sensitivity and causing no on-plate contamination in the case of being of on-plate developing type. SOLUTION: The objective ink-jet printing liquid is characterized by containing a dye <0.03 in optical density at 420 nm when its optical density at the maximum absorption wavelength in a solvent. is 1.0. |
