Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle travelling control device improving a feeling of a driver. SOLUTION: A moving vector of an objective target is computed by memorizing a target of a preceding vehicle in the case when the preceding vehicle is selected from the targets detected by a radar and a target used to be a preceding vehicle before in the case when the preceding vehicle is not selected as the objective target and finding a position of the objective target, relative velocity and relative lateral velocity with a self vehicle. Additionally, a difference between inclination at an objective target position of a parabola and inclination of the moving vector of the objective target by drawing the parabola assuming the self vehicle to travel in at the objective target position from a self vehicle position. Acceleration of the self vehicle is not restrained in the case when this difference of inclination is larger than a value equivalent to a difference of inclination in the case when the objective target changes its lane and it is restrained when it is smaller. Consequently, as acceleration is restrained while the objective target is in the middle of travelling in a curve or in the middle of changing its lane and it is not restrained in the case when the objective target changes the lane, it is possible to provide a travelling state suitable for feeling of the driver. |
