SOLUTION: A publisher terminal 2, a client terminal 3, and an electronic publication service site 4 are connected by the Internet 5. The publisher generates an electronized book file by using an electronic book generating and browsing application 9 and uploads it to the electronic publication service site 4. The client is able to browse a desired book file by browsing contents registered in a retrieved and browsed information database 14 at the electronic publication service site 4. The client is able to obtain the desired book file to be purchased in the form of an electronic book or general book.
