PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new gene that was amplified in 9p23-24, has PX domain and PHD finger motif, plays an important role in proliferation, differentiation, and oncogenesis of a cell, and is useful, for example, for the elucidation of condition, diagnosis, and treatment of a disease related to the differentiation of a cell such as in carcinoma, etc. SOLUTION: This gene contains (a) a polynucleotide encoding the polypeptide having the amino acid sequence shown by sequence 1 in the specification, (b) a polynucleotide having a homology at 95% or more to the base sequence shown by sequence 2 in the specification, or (c) a polynucleotide complementary to the polynucleotide (a) or (b).
