Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hurdle having improved hygroscopicity, without requiring a larger occupied space. SOLUTION: A hurdle member 100 which has a pair of upper and lower hurdle frames 101, 102 formed in a rectangular shape and hygroscopic elements 103 is used as an underlay for a bedcloth stored in a closet. A closed space is effectively dehumidified via ventilation windows 101a, 102a formed in the hurdle frames 101, 102 by the hygroscopic elements 103 stored in storage portions 104 of the hurdle frames 101, 102. The hygroscopic elements 103 can be arranged without requiring a larger hurdle occupied space.
