Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the wrong departure of trains for shuttle service. SOLUTION: This wrong departure preventing device for trains is formed of a switch means for selectively applying the first ATC signal for indicating a stop of train or the second ATC signal for indicating a progress of train to a starting end or a terminal of rails of a track circuit for stopping the train and a control means for controlling the switch means so that the second ATC signal is applied to the starting end of the rails when a train dose not exists on the track circuit and that the second ATC signal is applied to the starting end of the rail and while the first ATC signal is applied to the terminal of the rail when a train exists on the track circuit and that the first ATC signal is applied to the starting end of the rail and that the second ATC signal is applied to the terminal of the rail when a departure of the train for shuttle service is allowed through the track circuit.
