PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a method to constitute an elevator control means substantially consisting of a control processor, an input/output module having connecting points for signal transmitters and signal receivers installed scattering, and the signal transmitters and signal receivers themselves. SOLUTION: The method to constitute elevator control means enables external signal transmitters and signal receivers 5 to be connected with selectable connecting points 4 of an input/output module 1. At least one programmable connection constituting module 6 for sending the necessary information about the type and function of the signal transmitter or signal receiver 5 connected with the corresponding connecting points 4 to a control processor 2 through a bus system 7 can be allocated to each connecting point 4 during service on the input/output module.
