Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional video image display device where a display area of an object video image is limited because of a wide attached information area in displaying the object video image and attached information such as character information on a narrow display screen of a mobile video phone or the like altogether. SOLUTION: An object video image A102 is given to a priority area extract section 34 to divide the area from an important area of the object video image A102 according to priority. On the other hand, an attached information area setting section 44 confirms an area shared by the attached information consisting of a character source 40 as an attached area 108. Then, a mask area estimate section 50 moves the object video image A102 to an idle area other than the area shared by the attached area 108 and places the area with lower priority to the lower side of the attached area 108. Through the operation above, the object video image A102 except the important area is filled into the idle area of the attached area 108. |
