| Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an on-screen display system for digital broadcast that can output on-screen information of a storage device side with an output of one system without revising a configuration of a digital broadcast receiver. SOLUTION: The on-screen display system for digital broadcast consists of a digital broadcast receiver 1 that selects and decodes video data and a data broadcast received digitally compression-coded and in a transport stream packet form, converts them into an analog video signal and outputs the video signal and of a storage device connected to the digital broadcast receiver 1 to record/reproduce the video data. The storage device outputs the on-screen information, which is to be outputted, to the digital broadcast receiver 1 in the same form as that of the data broadcast. |
