Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating member with illumination capable of directly easily selecting and setting a function for a mode or a parameter by manual operation and displaying a set function and a mode or a parameter automatically selected based on the set function. SOLUTION: This operating member is equipped with a mode panel where pictographs 124a to 124h having light transmissivity are formed, a bezel rotating around the mode panel and stopped at a position where an index indicates any pictograph, and picture mode display LEDs 51a to 51h illuminating the pictographs 124a to 124h from the back surface of the mode panel, and the pictographs 124a to 124h indicated by the index are illuminated by the corresponding picture mode display LEDs 51a to 51h.
