PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a monitor system where a load on a guard can be relieved by displaying a position of a moving object and a video image of the moving object on one display device at the same time. SOLUTION: Video processing sections 66-1-66-n pick up an image of a moving object, extract a contour of an intruder from the picked-up video image, generate an object video image, the video processing sections 66-1-66-n or sensors 67-1-67-m detect a position of the moving object in a building and transmit the video image and the position information to a center. The center side uses on monitor 220 to display the video image of the object at a screen position corresponding to the position information and also display the layout of the building. Thus, a guard can view the position of the moving object in the building and the video image of the mobile object visually at the same time.
