Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of color unevenness in a multi-layer metallic coating film comprising a metallic coating material, a coloring coating material, and a clear coating material. SOLUTION: This coating film formation method is for forming a multi-layer metallic coating film on an object material by successively forming a metallic coating film (A) with 15 μm or less undercoating concealing film thickness, a coloring coating film (B) with 100 μm or more undercoating concealing film thickness, and a clear coating film (C). In this case, the color difference ΔE between a multilayer coating film comprising a metallic coating film (A) and a clear coating film (C) and a multilayer coating film comprising a metallic coating film (A), a coloring coating film (B), and a clear coating film (C) is controlled to be 15 or less. |
