Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mass-producible iron core device whose magnetic performance and mechanical strength can be improved. SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing an iron core device, a plurality of plate core pieces 3 are arrayed continuously to form a first core member 4 and a plurality of other plate core pieces 3 are done in the same manner to form a second core member 5. The first and second core members 4, 5 are stacked in the stacking direction alternately in such a way that each position between the core pieces of the first core member 4 and each position between the core pieces of the second core member 5 are dislocated in the longitudinal direction and that edge parts neighboring each other in the stacking direction of each core piece 3 are on top of the other. A connecting means is provided which connects at least a pair of edge parts of neighboring core pieces 3. An annular or rectangular iron core device is formed by rotating each core piece 3 with the connecting means.
