Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the transformation caused by the thermal stress of a cold head, by making a cylinder holder, which demarcates the closed space together with a cylinder where a displacer is arranged, constituting the cold head of a stirring freezer or the like, out of material weldable to the cylinder. SOLUTION: In the connection structure between a cylinder 11 and a cylinder holder 12 in a cold head for a freezer, the opposite end of a cylinder holder 12 to a displacer is cut, and the end of the cylinder 11 is welded to this cut end face, using a welding method such as EBW(electronic beam welding), TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding, laser welding, or the like. Then, the cylinder 11 is made of Ni alloy (mainly SUS), and the cylinder holder 12 is made of Ni alloy, especially, of SUS or Fe-Ni-Co alloy. The transformation caused by thermal stress of the cylinder 11 and the cylinder holder 12 is prevented by performing the airtight connection by welding, using such material.
