Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle roller capable of obtaining a large load capacity in a limited space, excellent in roller guide function and strength, and free from any troubles in case of a holder brought into slidable contact with adjacent parts such as a planetary gear on a crank shaft. SOLUTION: A needle roller having a holder comprises a holder 1, a plurality of rollers 2 and a holding ring 3. The rollers 2 have an annular groove 4 in an intermediate part. The holder 1 has an annular part la of the diameter which is larger than the pitch circle diameter of the roller arrangement, and flange parts 1b on both ends, and a pocket 5 is formed therein. The holding ring 3 is arranged in the annular grooves 4 of the rollers 2 on the inside diameter side of the holder 1 and over each roller 2. The holder 1 and the holding ring 3 may be reverse in the inside/outside arrangement.
