Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reading capability of disk information in a lead-in area by making it possible to allow a pickup to surely arrive at the mechanical innermost peripheral position even when an inner periphery detecting switch is installed. SOLUTION: The pickup feeder 1 makes the rack 10a of a pickup moving base 5 movable in a direction along a guide rod 6 and is provided with a pickup stopper 16 which stops the pickup 4 in the innermost peripheral position. After contact with the pickup stopper 16, the rack part 10 moves while pushing a comb spring 14 existing at the guide rod 6 and comes into contact with the inner periphery detecting switch 17. As a result, the pickup 4 may be stopped in the optimum position and, therefore, the reading of the information of the lead-in area is made sure and easy.
