Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the outflow of sediment for greening by directly spreading a fresh lawn mat on the inside of the winding portion of a grid material, stretching it on the front face of the fill, stretching the remaining portion to the upper side, repeating the procedures, and filling soil in sequence. SOLUTION: A grid material 3 is installed on the ground at the construction site 2 of a retaining wall near the inclined ground 1, and a retaining unit 4 is arranged in the lateral direction on its tip section 3A. The grounding portion 41 side of the retaining unit 4 is fixed to the ground, a fresh lawn mat 6 is stretched, and a water holding band 8 is fitted on the inclined ground 1 side. Soil 9 is filled between the retaining unit 4 and the inclined ground 1 and is compacted from the upper side. The first-step fill is generated, the second-step and subsequent fills are generated in the same procedures, and multiple retaining units 4 and the soil 9 are stacked to construct a retaining wall. The fresh lawn mat 6 is directly stretched on the retaining unit 4, and the holding function of sediment can be increased without separately requiring the use of auxiliary materiel.
