PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injector of internal combustion engine which includes a three-way valve type fuel injection nozzle and which can reliably prevent leakage of high-pressure fluid that is used to open and close a valve for a jet hole. SOLUTION: A fuel injection nozzle includes valve means 14 having two closed sections and being capable of moving reciprocatingly within a pressure chamber 1 that forms part of a control chamber 5. An inlet port 3a and an outlet port 4a for high-pressure fluid are formed in the pressure chamber 1. In this case, when one of the closed sections separates from the inlet port to open the inlet port while the other of the closed sections abuts to the outlet port to close the outlet port, the reciprocating motion of the valve means is restricted in one direction. On the other hand, when the other closed section separates from the outlet port to open the outlet port while the one closed section abuts to the inlet port to close the inlet port, the reciprocating motion of the valve means is restricted in the other direction.
