Procedure for the production of windows on a continuous strip of paper or the like and for closing the said windows by means of pieces of film that is transparent or with labels and the like, consisting in causing the said strip to move through a cutting unit, then through a gluing unit and finally through a mounting unit, causing the said cutting and gluing units to move longitudinally with respect to the strip and stopping the belt intermittently and for predetermined times depending on the distance required between the said windows, the stages of the procedure being controlled by a suitably programmed electronic computer.
