Summary: | 4,6-bis(phenol-amino)rezorcin is hydrogenized in 1-3C alkanol at 1-10 bar and 20-70[deg]C in the presence of a palladium catalyst on a carrier. An aqueous hydrochloric acid solution is added to the obtained reaction mixture, when hydrogen consumption is stopped. The resulting mixture is post-hydrogenized for at least 10 minutes. Then, the catalyst is filtered, and reaction product is separated from the filtrate, to obtain 4,6-diamino-rezorcin-dihydrochloride. |
