Summary:An item of packaging 40 for a fluid filter has a first packaging configuration and a second fluid-receiving tray configuration (50, figure 5). Preferably, the item of packaging is made from a primary blank or net (400, figure 4) that comprises a two dimensional secondary net 500 for forming a three-dimensional fluid tray (50, figure 5). Preferably, the secondary net comprises separation lines (510, figure 4) and fold lines (520, figure 4) within the two dimensional primary net. Preferably the tray comprises a spout (560, figure 5), a sheath and/or a plug element (798, 799, figure 10) or a flange (550, figure 5) to be received in a socket element on an engine. Preferably the filter is an oil filter 100 and the oil tray may be configured for the engine that uses the specific filter (figure 8).
