Abstract The present invention provides a nesting roll container and a method for transportation thereof. In the method according to the invention at least one first set 100 of roll containers, particularly roll containers having an A-frame chassis 20, is formed by nesting a plurality of roll containers cons ecutively. At least one corresponding second set 200 of nested roll containers is formed invertedly to the first set 100. The inverted second set 200 is superimposed on the first set 100, so that the plurality of roll containers is transported as invertedly superimposed nested stacks. The roll containers comprise coupling means for interlocking two inverted superimposed containers. The roll containers may comprise fixed side frames (trombones) 60, and movable side frames (61, figure 1) and floor members (10), where the movable elements can be stored in an upright fashion between the fixed side frames of the inter-engaged roll containers. By turning a set of nested roll containers upside down, and superimposing them on a nested set the right way up, more roll containers can be transported to where they are required.
