Hooks.-In a combination of a cooking-fork, a pike, and a larding- needle, the U- shaped metal frame A , fitting into a groove around the wooden handle A , has screwed into its ends the prongs B, B', the latter of which has a barb B' near its point, the inwatd motion being limited by shoulders b', b . The wooden handle has a pocket A with a screw cap A , to receive the head of the larding- needle. For use as a pike for lifting and turning meat, the prong B' alone is attached to the handle.
